Character Creation

The character creation screen is split into a main window with a selection panel on the right hand side. The main window shows you the current race that you are looking at.

As you choose a different race you will see the camera move along the hallway to show you the different race. At any point during the character creation process you can use the ‘Back’ button to revert to the previous step.

Note

Please remember that if you are on a Free Access account you may only create a human character, if you create any other type then your account will convert to the 14 day Trial Access account.

When you are happy with the look of your character click on the ‘Next’ button

Notes

When you enter the main game world you may find that your character’s colorings look slightly different to what you saw in the character creation screen. This is due to the differences in atmospheric lighting and the environment that your character is currently in. You cannot change the look of your character once it has been created, so if you are not happy with the look it is best to delete the character and re roll before you get too involved in interacting with the world.

Choosing a Name

Choosing a name is one of the most important features of your character. A name takes the format of a first name and a last name. You do not have to have a last name if you do not wish to do so but you must have a first name. A name must be either upper or lowercase characters and cannot contain any spaces, symbols or numbers.

There is also a policy on character naming

There are tools available on the internet that can assist with generating random characters names.

(Google ‘fantasy name generator’)

Please note, if you choose to make a character on the Order shard (role play), then your character name must be appropriate for the race that you are going to play.

Once you have chosen your name, enter it into the two fields and then click on the ‘Play’ button at the bottom of the screen. The client will then check the name you have entered to make sure it is valid and has not been used before.

If you receive an error message (such as the one shown to the left) then you will need to amend or choose a different name to use and then click on the ‘Play’ button again.

Once a character name has been accepted, the character creation screen will disappear and the main game will begin to load.
